40 hours/week, Mon-Fri Direct Hire Essential Functions Identify and recommend suppliers by researching and understanding needs of the business.
Develop alternate sources of supply by identifying and researching prospective suppliers.
Manage the new supplier onboarding process, respond to new supplier set up related inquiries timely.
Drive procurement operational excellence by training requestors on related policy and process, improving compliance, and supporting audit requirements.
Document procurement internal standard operational procedures.
Evaluate proposals from potential suppliers and recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses Negotiate final terms and conditions of purchase and award & administer the procurement contract to conclusion.
Ensure purchases and capital expenditures are consistent with Division strategies and within department budgets.
Key Qualifications 3
years' experience, with proven track record of success as a procurement professional and/or contract negotiator Knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes is required.
Working knowledge of procurement systems is preferred.
Experience with Acumatica ERP a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Provide clear and concise report and updates to management as required.
Strong analytical skill.
Experience with reconciling data from disparate and incomplete sources to develop well-documented and supportable recommendations.
Proficiency with MS Excel required Team player with excellent communication skills, along with the ability to motivate, influence and negotiate.
Proven contract negotiation experience in a procurement environment.
Ability to engage and communicate professionally at all levels of an organization and between departments Good knowledge of SLA's, KPI's, particularly with regard to enforcing those SLA's and KPI's EOE M/F/Disabled/Veteran La Porte, TX / Remote Procurement Specialist #IND1 Quick Apply.
