Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport heavy cargo, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
Ensure proper stacking, organizing, and securing of cargo in the warehouse, or designated storage areas, to optimize space utlilization, and prevent damage or accidents.
Inspect, maintain, and perform routine checks on equipment to ensure they are in proper working order, reporting any issues or malfuctions promptly.
Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to prioritize tasks, coordingate the movement of cargo, and meet daily operational goals.
Follow work orders, shipping instructions, or other relevant documents to accurately and efficiently handle and move heavy cargo.
Adhere to strict safety guidelines and prototcols while operationg heavy cargo forklifts, including wearing appropiate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following established procedures for loading and unloading cargo.
Maintain accurate records of cargo moved, and perform necessary documentation
Qualifications:
Verifiable forklift operator experience, with a minimum of 1 year operating in a warehouse, or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of forklift operations, safety procedures, and proper handling techniques.
Ablility to operate a variety of sitdown forklifts, including ones designed for heavy cargo.
Attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team enviroment.
Stron focus on safety, with a demonstrated understanding of safety protocols and guidelines.
Familiarity with warehouse operations.
