com Job Description Reporting to the Vice President, Engineering, this new role will manage the processes for our new distillation column that will produce 99.
999% methane, ethane and ethylene.
Essential Functions Operates the process control systems and software.
Operates distillation tower equipment to include control valves, pumps, electrical heaters, vacuum pumps.
Trouble shoots operation of process equipment such as:
open or closed valves, no flow situation, temperature of process, process parameters out of acceptable range.
Monitors process variables to know where in the process the current batch of refined gas is.
Recommends process improvements.
Adheres to Company environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
Basic Required Qualification HS diploma/GED Two years' experience in process operations.
Capable of reading and understanding a Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
Working knowledge of common hand tools.
Willing to work in a shift work type situation as the process will operate 24hrs/day.
Must be able to work outdoors in a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.
Ability to work at heights up to 70 feet.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to perform work during prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, climbing, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion.
Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of cryogenic systems and their operation a plus.
Associate Degree in Process Technology.
Ability to operate and understand the output of a gas chromatograph.
General understanding of electricity and electrical systems.
