Parts Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a Parts Sales Representative for our facility in LaPorte, TX ‚€“ this position is immediately available.

Industrial leader in the industrial vacuum equipment and service arena seeks Dynamic Sales leader for key Regional Aftermarket Sales and Service position in our GC territory. We are looking for confident, highly motivated, sales professional to drive growth and maintain existing customers. Sales professionals that are skilled at influencing customer behavior with a proven record of success are encouraged to apply.
Primary Function: Manage the sale of the company's products to contractors and industrial plants. The Representative is assigned an area of primary responsibility and is the primary contact between the customer for product support with parts and billable service. Minimum of 50% travel is required. The successful person will possess the entrepreneurial ability to identify and cultivate growth opportunities within their given territory.
Essential Duties:
Champion the direct sales effort of parts and service offering in assigned territory.
Develop sales strategies for region to increase market penetration
Act as partner and participate in the sales process of used equipment with Regional Manager (inventory knowledge and customer visits).
Perform outbound sales calls and customer visits to promote offerings.
Identify and develop new market opportunities to expand current product mix
Capture market related pricing information.
Create and supply information such as pricing and quotations for parts and service.
Support customer inquiries, needs and concerns.
Train customers and other personnel in the company's parts and service offerings.
Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows.
Recommend new product changes as well as other new product ideas.
Provide support for marketing communications on creation of ads, catalogs, etc‚€
Meet sales objectives and supply forecasting information on a monthly basis.
Submit monthly accomplishment report.
Submit expense report on a timely basis.
Be available to support customers questions
Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard of ethical practices.
Minimum of 8 hours of training annually.
Proactively assess and validate customer needs and goals on an ongoing basis
Use internet, trade shows, and company generated leads to source for new accounts
Develop and present sales proposals, aligned to customer needs and goals
Develop and maintain detailed customer plans with existing and prospective key accounts that are critical to achieving territory revenue and profit margin goals
Represent the company in a professional manner including abiding to regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Teamwork and collaboration with other Federal Signal functional areas (Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service)
Extensive travel required

Position Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education and/or Experience):
High School diploma or equivalent required. College education preferred.
Two plus years of related work experience required.
Must be able to operate a computer and working knowledge and/or experience with software using spreadsheets, databases and word processing. Electronic order entry, inventory control systems, JDE preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to read and understand shop drawings and schematics.
Mechanical aptitude preferred.
Must be able to work independently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
